The Missouri men’s golf team is set to compete in its second-straight tournament in South Carolina, competing in the three-day Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, beginning on Sunday.
TOURNANMENT INFO
The tournament is set to begin on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. CT with schools teeing off on the first and 10th holes. The second round begins on Monday at 8 a.m. CT before wrapping up the action with 18 holes on Tuesday at 8 a.m. CT.
Joining the No. 47 Tigers on the course are two schools also in the top 50 in No. 40 Purdue and No. 41 East Tennessee State, two SEC foes in Kentucky and South Carolina in addition to College of Charleston, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, Kent State, NC State, New Mexico, VCU, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The tournament will be held at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, South Carolina. The teams are set to play on a par 72 course that measures 7,349 yards.
LAST TIME AT THE HOOTIE
The Tigers finished tied for first one season ago with a team score of -20, matching No. 28 East Tennessee State, No. 29 South Carolina and No. 35 NC State. Both Charlie Crockett (-7) and Jack Lundin (-6) recorded top-10 finishes by placing fifth and seventh, respectively.
Mizzou has played in the Hootie at Bulls Bay in each of the last 10 times the tournament has been held (canceled in 2020) with its -20 and tied for first finish both program bests. The only other time that MU recorded a top-three finish was in 2021 when it placed second overall.
