Bears Finish 11th At The PING/ASU Invitational

Ochoa Registers Fourth Top-20 Finish This Season

PHOENIX – Junior Cristina Ochoa recorded her fourth top-20 finish this season and the California women’s golf team placed 11th at the PING/ASU Invitational at Papago Golf Course.

Ochoa finished in a tie for 15th place for the tournament at 2-over par, marking her third-best individual finish of the season.

The Bears shot 7-over par as a team Sunday, marking their first-round score. Cal carded a 10-over par on Saturday and finished the tournament at 24-over par overall.

Graduate student Annika Borrelli was the Bears’ next-best individual finisher at 7-over par and tied for 45th. Junior Mika Jin finished strong with a final-round score of even-par 72.

The Bears return to action April 3-5 at the Silverado Showdown in Napa.
