WEST POINT, Miss. – The 15th-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team is set to tee off in the Magnolia state on Monday, taking part in the Mossy Oak Collegiate.  
 
The tournament is set to be played at the par-72, 7,212-yard Mossy Oak Golf Club, which is one of the two courses in Mississippi to be ranked in the Top 100 Courses by both Golf Digest and Golfweek. The club has hosted numerous tournaments, such as the 1999 U.S. Women’s Open and serves as the host site for the Mossy Oak Collegiate each year.
 
The Vols are set to compete in three rounds—teeing off the tournament with 36 holes on Monday and then a final 18-hole round on Tuesday.
 
According to Golfstat’s rankings, six of the participating teams in the Mossy Oak Collegiate are ranked inside the top 25, with UT being the second-highest ranked.
 
Tennessee is making its first ever appearance at Mossy Oak Golf Club, however the team competed at Old Waverly Country Club in Mississippi during the 2020-21 season.
 
Last time out, the Vols finished tied for second place at the All-American Invitational where they pieced together a 5-under total score. Redshirt junior Jake Hall also captured his first career individual title thanks to a 7-under performance with three par or better rounds.
 
THE VOLS’ LINEUP
 
Caleb Surratt
The true freshman is coming off a top-10 finish at the All-American Intercollegiate where he posted a three-round total of 4-under to place tied for sixth. Throughout the season, Surratt has registered four top 20 finishes with a team-high 16 rounds of par or better.  
 
Bryce Lewis
Lewis registered his third top-15 finish of the season at the All-American Intercollegiate where he shot 1-under to tie for 12th place. The redshirt currently has 30 career rounds in the 60s as well as 20 top 25 finishes.
 
Jake Hall
The Knoxville native notched his first career individual title in the 108-player field at the All-American Intercollegiate where he shot a three-round total of 7-under. Following the win, Hall earned SEC Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career.
 
Laurent Desmarchais
Desmarchais is set to make his second start in the five-man lineup for the 2022-23 season after producing a second-place finish at the All-American Individual where he shot 6-under. The Longueuil, Quebec native has had five top-25 finishes and 15 rounds of par or better this season.
