NAPA, Calif. – Washington State women’s golf fifth-year senior Darcy Habgood wrapped up the 2023 Chevron Silverado Showdown inside the top 30 on the player leaderboard to highlight the Cougars’ three-day stay at the Silverado Resort.
Habgood finished the tournament tied for 27th on the player leaderboard after carding 9-over 225 over 54 holes of play in Napa, California. The fifth-year senior from Nambucca Heads, Australia concludes her last go-around the Silverado Resort Golf Course as a collegiate golfer with a third-round score of 6-over 78.
The Cougars concluded the 2023 Chevron Silverado Showdown in 16th place on the team leaderboard, as Washington State carded 67-over 931 over its three days of play in Napa. WSU ended Wednesday’s third round shooting 29-over 317 as a team.
Freshman Emiko Sverduk posted Washington State’s best score in the third round of the Silverado Showdown, as the Long Beach, California native shot 5-over 77. Sverduk carded par on a team-best 34 holes at the tournament.
No. 16-ranked Northwestern captured the team title at the 2023 Chevron Silverado Showdown, as the Wildcats shot 9-over 873 to win the tournament by seven strokes over No. 13-ranked Texas A&M. UCLA’s Zoe Campos won the tournament’s individual trophy with a 54-hole score of 211 (-5).
