Men's Golf Central: Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – In its final tournament before conference play, the 14th-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team is set to tee off in the mid-state on Monday, taking part in the Mason Rudolph Championship.

The Vols tee off the three-day, three-round tournament on Monday and are scheduled to compete in one round apiece on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The event will be held at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course. The Bobb Cupp and Tom Kite designed course serves as the annual host of the Mason Rudolph Championships.

According to Golfstat’s rankings, four of the 15 participating teams are ranked inside the top-20, with Tennessee being the second-highest ranked team in the field.

The Vols are coming their third win of the season at the Mossy Oak Collegiate where they shot 40-under as a team, which is the fourth-best 54-hole score in program history. Caleb Surratt was UT’s highest finisher and shot 10-under for the tournament to place tied for 6th.

Tennessee last competed at the South course in 2022, finishing in third place as a team. Bryce Lewis was the only current golfer to compete in the five-man lineup during last year’s tournament and placed tied for ninth after a 6-under outing.
