No. 16 MSU Slated For Regular Season Finale At Mason Rudolph


FRANKLIN, Tenn. – No. 16 Mississippi State is set to tee off for its final regular-season tournament at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee. The course of play features the par-71, 7,100-yard south course of the Vanderbilt Legends Club.

The 15-team field features four teams in the Golfstat Top 25. State’s competition includes host No. 1 Vanderbilt, No. 14 Tennessee, No. 20 Ole Miss, Ball State, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Furman, Liberty, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, North Florida, Northern Illinois and Wofford.

The team lineup for the Bulldogs consists of Ford CleggGarrett EndicottRuan PretoriusHunter Logan and Alejandro PedrycPedro Cruz Silva will compete as an individual. 

Clegg, Endicott and Logan have competed in every team event for MSU this season. Clegg (71.25) and Endicott (71.17) lead State in stroke average. Meanwhile, Logan is coming off back-to-back top-3 finishes, shooting career-low rounds in both competitions. 

Clegg is projected to tie the school record (147) for career rounds played upon completion of the Mason Rudolph Championship, and already holds the program record for career rounds of par or better (74).

Pretorius will be making his eighth appearance this season. He is tied with Endicott for the most rounds of par or better on the team (16).

Pedryc will be making his third appearance in the Maroon and White, and first in team competition. He carries a stroke average of 70.83 through six rounds played this season, five of which he shot par or better. 

Cruz Silva will compete in his sixth tournament this season. He has two top-5 finishes this season and is coming off an 11th-place finish at the Mossy Oak Collegiate. 

Pedryc will tee off first for the Bulldogs at 10:23 a.m. CT followed by Logan, Pretorius, Endicott, and Clegg in 11-minute increments. Cruz Silva will tee off at 10:12 a.m. CT in the individual grouping with Vanderbilt’s Reid Davenport and Tennessee’s Lance Simpson.
