No. 5 Illini To Tee Off at Tiger Collegiate Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Illinois men’s golf team, rated No. 5 nationally by Golfstat, returns to the course this week to challenge the field at the Tiger Collegiate Invitational. The two-day event, hosted by Missouri, will be played Monday and Tuesday, April 10-11.

THE SETTING

The Tiger Collegiate Invitational is hosted at The Club at Old Hawthorne, the Tigers’ home course since 2006. Site of an NCAA regional in 2014, The Club at Old Hawthorne is built on the former grounds of a 631-acre horse farm. The golf course plays over rolling terrain with multiple water hazards lurking. The 54-hole tournament will be a five-count-four format played over two days, with 36 holes of continuous play set for Monday, followed by Tuesday’s final round. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT Monday and 8:30 a.m. CT Tuesday.
