Columbia, Mo. – The Missouri men’s golf team heads into Tuesday’s final round of the Tiger Collegiate Invitational in second place out of 14 teams. The team got off to a hot start in the morning firing an 18-under 270 in the first round, matching their lowest all-time team score in the Tiger Collegiate. They posted a solid 13-under 275 in the second round to finish off the afternoon.
Individually for the Tigers, junior Charlie Crockett leads the team, carding an 11-under 133 (64-69) total, matching the record 18-hole individual score by a Tiger at their home event. With two eagles and 10 birdies on the day, Crockett is currently tied for third going into the final round.
Freshman Antonio Safa currently sits second on the team with a 137 (68-69) total, posting a team-high 12 birdies on the day. He currently sits tied for 13th individually with one round to play. Sophomore Dabbi Sigurbrandsson, competing as an individual, shot his career-low in the afternoon, posting a five-under 67 in the second round of play.
The final day of action is set for Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
