CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – With an eye-popping 30-under team score vs. par, No. 7 Florida State Men’s Golf is on a record-breaking quest as it leads the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial through two rounds played on Monday at Birdwood Golf Course.
The Seminoles lead tournament host and second-place Virginia by 12 strokes entering Tuesday’s final round, which begins for FSU at 10 a.m.

Florida State’s school record for lowest three-round score vs. par is 41-under, which it set at the USF Invitational on March 4, 2014.
Freshman Luke Clanton has been the catalyst so far, tying for the overall lead at 8-under (66-68). The Hialeah, Fla., native delivered an eagle in his second round on the par-4, 372-yard first hole. Clanton accumulated 10 birdies on the day. His best finish of his freshman year is tying for second at the Seminole Intercollegiate on March 14.
Redshirt junior Cole Anderson (68-67) and junior Brett Roberts (65-70) are each tied for third place with 7-under scores. Roberts tied his career-low by carding an opening-round 65, while Anderson shot a 67 in his second round.
Junior Frederik Kjettrup is 5-under (65-72) through his first two rounds and in a tie for seventh. Freshman Jack Bigham is tied for 14th (70-69) at 3-under.
Bigham will get the Seminoles started in Tuesday’s final round when he tees off from the first hole at 10 a.m.
