East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s women’s golf team plays its final tournament before the postseason starts this weekend, teeing off on Saturday, April 15 at the Lady Buckeye Invitational at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will run through Sunday, April 16 on the par-72, 6,319-yard course on the Ohio State campus. Both rounds will open at 8:30 a.m. with shotgun starts. Each of the 14 teams will have six players competing and the lowest four scores count toward the team total.

LAST TIME OUT
- Michigan State shot a 9-over 297 in the final round and tied for eighth place among 17 teams at the ASU Invitational, which finished at Papago Golf Club in Tempe, Ariz. on March 26.
- The Spartans had moved into seventh place after Saturday’s second round with a 4-under par 284 and tied for eighth place with Oregon State at a three-day, 54-hole total of 18-over par 882.
- Sophomore Brooke Biermann and junior Valentina Rossi were the top finishers for the Spartans, tying for 15th place with scores of 2-over par 218, respectively.
- Biermann closed out with an even-par 72 to finish at 2-over par 218 (73-73-72). Rossi, who fired a career best 6-under par 66 on Saturday, finished with a 2-over par 74 (78-66-74).
LADY BUCKEYE HISTORY
- The Lady Buckeye Invitational has been good to the Spartans over the years, as Michigan State has won the tournament six times, the most of any school outside of host Ohio State.
- MSU’s Lady Buckeye championships under head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll have come in 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2017.
- MSU topped Texas by one stroke in the final round to win in 2017, finished third in 2018 and second in 2019.
