Women's Golf Finishes Day 1 of Lady Buckeye Invitational


COLUMBUS, Ohio. – Rutgers women’s golf wrapped up play on day one of the Lady Buckeye Invitational on Saturday evening.

The Scarlet Knights sit in 14th place after the first two rounds of competition at the Ohio State Scarlet Course.

Leigha Devine and Maeve Rossi pace RU on the individual leaderboard, with each sitting in a tie for 54th with one round remaining.

Devine rebounded from an 8-over 80 in her first round with an even-par 72 in round two. She picked up three birdies and rolled in 12 pars to move up in the board.

Rikke Nordvik sits just one stroke behind Devine and Rossi with a 9-over 153 (75-78) through two rounds. She leads the field with 30 total pars, putting in 15 in each round.

Nicole Ewing sits in a tie for 76th after shooting a 13-over 157 (74-83), putting in four birdies in her first round of play. Lucrezia Rossettin rounds out the Scarlet Knights in 86th place after shooting a 24-over 158 (87-81)

The third and final round of the tournament is set for an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start on Sunday morning.
