Bears Begin Pac-12 Championships Monday In Phoenix

Cal Heads Back To Papago Golf Course

The California women’s golf team heads back to Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona for the Pac-12 Championships this Monday through Wednesday.

The Golden Bears will be rolling out a new lineup, led by mainstays and low scorers for the year Cristina Ochoa (74.2) , Annika Borrelli (74.4) and Mika Jin (75.0).

Since beginning the year with three straight sub-70 rounds at the USF Intercollegiate, Ochoa has gone on to finish in the top 20 in six of nine tournaments. She and Borrelli own the Bears’ lowest rounds of the spring, having both carded 4-under 68s.

Borrelli is also tied with Ochoa for the most rounds at par or better with six this season. They have been the Bears’ low scorers at four of five competitions this spring.

Jin has continued to be one of the most consistent contributors on the roster, joining Ochoa as the only Bears to compete in all nine competitions. They are joined by freshman Olivia Lee – who makes the lineup for the third straight competition – and senior Kristine Tran.
