Hogan Award Semifinalist - Stanford University Athletics

FORT WORTH, Texas – Stanford junior Michael Thorbjornsen was named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2023 Ben Hogan Award on Monday.

Thorbjornsen is ranked No. 3 in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings, as well as No. 3 in the most recent Golfstat player rankings.

As Stanford enters the postseason, Thorbjornsen holds a 69.42 scoring average in 24 rounds this season. He has finished inside the Top 8 in six of eight events, with a victory at the Fighting Illini Invitational in September. His scoring average would currently rank third in school history for a single season.
