Campos, Canales Selected to Pac-12 All-Conference Team


SAN FRANCISCO – Sophomores Zoe Antoinette Campos and Caroline Canales were named to the Pac-12 Women’s Golf All-Conference Team, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
Campos won the first two medals of her collegiate career this season in consecutive events at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on March 29 and Silverado Showdown on April 5. The Valencia, Calif. native competed in 10 of the No. 24 UCLA women’s golf team’s 11 events and earned a team-leading seven top-10 finishes.
 
Campos, a two-time Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Week this season, was the only Bruin on the roster to have all of her 25 rounds count towards the team score. Through the Pac-12 Championships which concluded earlier today, Campos leads UCLA with a 71.52 scoring average and 12 under-par rounds.
 
Canales earned the Bruins’ first individual medal of 2023 at The Match in the Desert on Jan. 23, shooting UCLA’s lowest round of the season with a 7-under 65. Canales was second on the team behind Campos with six top-10 placements in 2023. After round three of the Pac-12 Championships, Canales sports a 72.8 scoring average.
 
Campos, Canales and the Bruins await the NCAA Selection Show to hear which site of the NCAA Regionals Championships they will be headed to. NCAA Regionals will take place from May 8-10. Below is a list of possible venues.
