An incredible 2023 has seen Jon Rahm win four times, including claiming the coveted green jacket at Augusta National Golf Club. This week, the Spaniard will return to the Mexico Open at Vidanta to defend his 2022 title. Last year, the World No. 1 finished one shot clear of five-time TOUR event winner Tony Finau, 2020 Korn Ferry Tour Championship winner Brandon Wu, and Kurt Kitayama, who recently claimed his first TOUR win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard in March. The Mexico Open was Rahm’s only TOUR victory in 2022, but a win this week would see his PGA TOUR win tally rise to twelve. Nico Echavarria will be leading the charge for Latin American players in Mexico. The Colombian, who currently sits inside the top 70 in the FedExCup Standings, recently won the Puerto Rico Open finishing an impressive 21-under-par, two shots clear of the field.
