WESTFIELD, Ind. – Tennessee’s women’s golf is set to play in the NCAA Westfield Regional as the No. 7 seed, hosted at The Club at Chatham Hills, running May 8-10.
The 12-team field will participate in a three-day, 54-hole event, with 18 holes being played each day. The top five teams and top individual (not on an advancing team) will advance to the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, from May 19-24. In the Westfield Regional, five of the 12 teams are currently ranked inside Golfstat‘s top 25.
LADY VOLS’ LINEUP
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
Chotikabhukkana posted her third top-15 finish of the season at the Clemson Invitational, tying for 14th place (-1). Her best finish of the season was at the Landfall Tradition in October, where she shot -2 to tie for 14th place. The freshman holds a 73.10 stroke average and leads the Lady Vols in rounds of par or better at 14 heading into Regionals.
Angela Arora
Arora, who joined the Lady Vols in January 2023, notched three top-25 finishes in her first four collegiate tournaments. The freshman recorded a first-place finish at the Clover Cup in March, shooting -11 overall to post the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history, earning her SEC Golfer of the Week accolades. Arora holds a 73.07 stroke average with seven rounds of par or better so far this spring.
Vanessa Gilly
With a 73.50 stroke average and nine rounds of par or better, Gilly has competed in all 10 tournaments in 2022-23. The junior’s best outing came at the ICON Invitational in February, where she shot -3 overall to tie for 20th place. Gilly also recorded three top-25 finishes during the regular season.
Caroline Patterson
At the SEC Championship, Patterson notched her fourth top-25 finish of the season, finishing tied for 23rd place at +8. The freshman’s best outing came at the ICON Invitational in February, where she shot -3 to tie for 20th place. Patterson holds a 73.67 stroke average with six rounds of par or better and leads Tennessee in rounds in the 60s (4) this season.
Emily Hawkins
Rounding out the lineup is Hawkins, who has a 75.60 stroke average and three rounds of par or better in five tournament appearances. The graduate’s best outing was at the Clover Cup in March, where she shot notched a 54-hole score of 224 (+5) to record her first top-25 finish (T24) as a Lady Vol.
