Four Gator Golfers Earn Degrees this Weekend


GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Gator golfers in Quentin Debove, John DuBois, Marina Escobar, and Giovanni Manzoni all graduated this week from the University of Florida. 

A WGCA All-American Scholar, Escobar received her bachelor’s in Economics. Last year she qualified as an individual for the National Championship and recently played her third top-25 at the SEC Championship with a T4 performance. She is a two-time conference honor roll member. 

Also receiving their degree in economics, is John DuBois. The 2022 SEC Individual Champion, had another big moment by winning the match-clinching point to secure the 2023 SEC Championship team title. He was a GCAA All-American Scholar last year and an All-SEC First Team selection.  

Debove received his bachelor’s in International Studies. His a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and just won the 2023 Terra Cotta Invitational. The Paris native also led the Gators to a season-opening victory at the Fighting Irish Classic behind a T5 outing. 

Rounding out the group Manzoni with a degree in Sport Management. He joined the Florida program after spending two seasons at Lynn University. A two-time GCAA All-American Scholar, he also has been an honor roll member of the SEC every year.
