USC freshman Mahanth Chirravuri was named to the All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and All-Freshman teams while sophomore Jackson Rivera also earned honorable mention notice as the conference released its men’s golf honors on Thursday (May 4).
The announcement comes a day after both players were named as individual entries into the NCAA Regional Championships at the Morgan Hills site.
Chirravuri leads USC in stroke average (71.95), rounds of par or better (18), top 25 finishes (eight) and has been USC’s top finisher a team-best six times. He is second on the team in rounds under par (11) and rounds in the 60s (eight).
Chirravuri made his Trojan debut with a tie for 11th at the Husky Invitational, still his season best, and also posted a pair of ties for 20th in the fall. He is currently riding a streak of three straight top 24 results.
Rivera, who earned second-team and All-Freshman honors in 2022, has been a two-time winner this season and leads USC in rounds under par (13) and in the 60s (nine). He is second in stroke average (72.14), rounds of par or better (16) and in top 25 finishes (four).
Rivera opened the season with a four-stroke win at the Husky Invitational at 8-under 208 (67-70-71). He later earned co-champion honors at the Arizona N.I.T. at Tucson Omni National at 13-under 203 (69-67-67).
