Emilie Øverås Named to SEC Community Service Team


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama senior golfer Emilie Øverås has been named the Crimson Tide’s representative on the 2023 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced.

The announcement of her conference recognition came on the same weekend the senior is set to graduate and earn her diploma.

  • Set to earn her diploma with an undergraduate degree in news media
  • A three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll (2020, 2021, 2022)
  • Handled creative video duties in the fall season for the nationally top-five ranked Alabama soccer team, which would eventually reach the 2023 College Cup
  • In addition, worked on videos for a variety of other sports as a student volunteer with Crimson Tide Productions
  • The team’s representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and assisted fellow SAAC members in organizing a variety of community events
