Charlie Crockett was honored on Thursday for a standout season on the course, earning second-team All-SEC honors.
Crockett becomes the fifth golfer in program history to receive all-conference honors since the Tigers joined the SEC in 2012. He joins Jace Long (2012-13), Emilo Cuartero (2013-14), Hayden Buckley (2017-18) and Ross Steelman (2020-21) as Mizzou golfers to earn the accolade.
Crockett is enjoying his best collegiate campaign during the 2022-23 season. He has lowered his stroke average by more than 2.5 strokes this year with his 69.87 average the lowest by a Tiger since current PGA Tour member Buckley averaged 69.5 five years ago.
Overall, Crockett has shot under par in 9-of-10 events this season, highlighted by an 18-under 198 at the Tiger Collegiate Invitational in April – the second-best 54-hole score in school history. Crockett also placed eighth at the SEC Championship, the best finish by a Tiger in program history.
Crockett and the Tigers return to action next week, competing in the regional round of the NCAA Championship in California. The action is set to begin Monday morning with a 10:25 a.m. CT first tee time for Mizzou.
