East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State men’s golf team will begin play in the NCAA Bath Regional on Monday morning at the Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath, Mich.
The Spartans are making their sixth NCAA Regional appearance in the last eight years. The Spartans are seeded No. 10 in the regional and were one of 13 teams selected to compete at Eagle Eye Golf Club, just down the road from the Michigan State campus.
The Bath Regional is one of six regionals being held nationally, with 81 teams competing. The top five teams from each regional will then advance to the national championships, to be played from May 27 to June 1 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“We’re super excited and ready to go,” Head Coach Casey Lubahn said. “This is incredibly exciting for us and we’re thrilled to host an NCAA Regional. The staff at Eagle Eye Golf Club and the Greater Lansing Sports Authority have put a lot of work into this event and it’s really great for our guys to have the opportunity to play in front of their families and friends. We’re looking forward to it, but we also know we have work to do and want to put ourselves in a position to be in Arizona next week.”
