After returning from a trip to Florida, the Ladies European Tour (LET) is back in Europe for the summer run of events.
Next up is the Belgian Ladies Open which is taking place at Naxhelet Golf Club for the second consecutive year.
Before the tournament begins, here are a few of the storylines to look out for…
De Roey back at home
Manon De Roey will be teeing it up once again in her home tournament after she finished in a tie for seventh place in 2022.
The Antwerp native had a solid start to the LET season with three top-10 finishes including T3 at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International is looking to find that early form for her next run of events.
2022 runner-up back to go one better
Last year, Cara Gainer secured her best-ever finish on the LET by coming second at the Belgian Ladies Open after rounds of 71 (-1), 67 (-5) and 64 (-8).
The Englishwoman began the final day four shots behind eventual winner Linn Grant but pushed her all the way after a stunning 64.
It was the result that pushed Gainer forward and meant she had her best-ever finish on the 2022 Race to Costa del Sol with 41st place and she will be hoping to recapture that feeling this week.
Homegrown talent ready to compete on home soil
De Roey is not the only Belgian player teeing it up in this week’s event as there are no fewer than six playing at Naxhelet.
Amateur Savannah De Bock – who is a winner of the PING Junior Solheim Cup – will play alongside De Roey and Anne Van Dam for the first two days, while Leslie Cloots, Sophie Bert, Celine Manche and Diane Baillieux are all in the field.
In-form players hoping to win
With two events having happened since the resumption of the LET season, players are back in competition mode and hoping to win on Tour.
Two players who did well in a tough week in Florida were Germany’s Olivia Cowan and Scotland’s Louise Duncan, who came T3 and T3 respectively, and they will be looking to improve on that result this week.
