Endicott Nominated To PING All-Southeast Region Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Freshman Garrett Endicott has received PING All-Southeast Region honors, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Saturday morning.

Endicott joins Ford Clegg (2021) to give State two active players that have earned all-region honors in their career.

The San Antonio, Texas, native has made an impact in his first year of collegiate golf, having been awarded SEC Freshman Golfer of the Week twice and receiving SEC All-Freshman and Second Team All-SEC honors this season.

Having competed in every team event this season, Endicott leads the team with the lowest season average (71.03) and the most rounds of par or better on the team (22). His rounds of par or lower rank third in MSU single-season history. He also has eight rounds in the 60s this season, which is the second-most on the team, and ranks 11th in program history for single-season rounds in the 60s.

His four top-10 finishes are tied for the most on the team, and his eight top-20 finishes lead the Bulldog squad.

Endicott’s season-high finish came at the SEC Fall Preview, where he tied for second. His back-to-back rounds in the 60s led him to tie the 54-hole program record with 198, while also leading the team to its lowest all-time 54-hole team score (823). The performance earned his first career SEC weekly honors.

His second SEC Freshman of the Week honor came from his performance on his home course at the Mossy Oak Collegiate. He fired back-to-back rounds in the 60s to open the tournament, tying for sixth at 10-under 206. His play helped the Bulldogs tie the second-lowest 54-hole total in school history with a team total of 826.

In his first postseason appearance, Endicott tied for 19th at the SEC Championship in St. Simons Island, Georgia, helping his team to advance to the match play quarterfinals. He also helped lead his team to its first regional championship at the Morgan Hill Regional, finishing tied for 11th.
