Former Alabama Women’s Golfer Jiwon Jeon Earns First Professional Victory

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama women’s golf standout Jiwon Jeon celebrated her first career win on the Epson Tour over the weekend. Playing at the Inova Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship, Jeon, claimed the trophy with a four day, 72-hole winning score of 10-under par 209 to win. The event was played at the challenging El Campeon Championship Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.

Jeon competed for one season at Alabama during the 2018-19 campaign after she transferred from Daytona State College in Florida. She made quite an impact during her one season with the Crimson Tide, earning both First Team All-American and First Team All-SEC accolades. Jeon captured a pair of victories and still holds school records for low tournament total (196) and single-season par 3 scoring (2.9459).

The newest Epson Tour champion will be teeing it up next week at the inaugural Champions Fore Change Invitational in New Bern, N.C.
