Five Iron Golf has rolled out a new franchising program to open new avenues of growth for the company.
Thus far, all 18 Five Iron locations in the U.S. are owned and operated directly by Five Iron. Going forward, franchise opportunities are available for both single- and multi-unit properties. After monitoring the data from the last few years, the company feels that the time is right to move forward with this new operations plan. Five Iron also has two international locations in Singapore and New Delhi, and the early data they’ve received points to success there as well.
“Independent data supports our position that the future is very bright for modern, non-traditional golf experiences,” said Jared Solomon, CEO and co-founder of Five Iron Golf. “According to the National Golf Foundation, for the first time, more Americans are playing ‘off-course’ golf than playing on green grass. This shift in consumer behavior mirrors our growth strategy, as we’ve opened eight locations since the start of 2022 with five more coming online later this year.”
The goal of Five Iron is to make the game more accessible to more people, and this new franchise model will help them achieve that goal. The company is offering comprehensive franchisee support including development advice, operational playbooks, marketing expertise, business development, and partnership support. Additionally, franchisees will have access to Five Iron’s technology and enterprise systems.
Five Iron will host a series of “discovery days” in June and October to prepare prospective franchisees by offering tours of existing locations and presentations from department heads and company leadership.
