Brinker Finishes as Low Amateur at Colorado Women’s Open


DENVER – With rounds of 70, 71 and 73 over the last three days, Duke women’s golf rising senior Phoebe Brinker placed tied for 15th and finished as low amateur at the 2023 Inspirato Colorado Women’s Open, which was being played at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver, Colo.  

A native of Wilmington, Del., Brinker turned in 11 birdies over the 54 holes and carded a 2-under-par, 214, to finish one shot ahead of Ali Mulhall (215) for low amateur honors.  

Brinker registered early birdies on No. 3, No. 6 and No. 8 and made the turn at 3-under-par.  She closed Friday’s final round with four bogeys over her final nine holes to finish with a 73.  Brinker played holes 1-9 over the three days at 6-under-par.  

Haylee Harford won medalist honors with a 9-under, 207.
