Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Five Commodores Earn WGCA Honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Five student-athletes from the Vanderbilt women’s golf program were recognized on the 2022-23 All-American Scholar Team released by the WGCA on Thursday, with the group including seniors Tess Davenport and Celina Sattelkau, junior Virginie Ding and a pair of freshmen, Tillie Claggett and Lynn Lim.

It’s the third time in as many years that Davenport and Sattelkau have been recognized for the award, which requires student-athletes to maintain an overall grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, play in 50 percent of the team’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds through its conference championships, and be an amateur on the roster at the conclusion of the team’s season.

In all, 1,401 student-athletes from 378 different programs were recognized.

The Commodores have had nine individuals combine to make 16 appearances on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team the last three seasons, and have multiple student-athletes honored on five occasions including each of the last four years.
