Mark Hankins Resigns As Mizzou Men’s Golf Head Coach

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Men’s Golf Head Coach Mark Hankins resigned his position, Director of Athletics Desireé Reed-Francois announced.

“We thank Coach Hankins for his service to Mizzou and wish him well in the future,” Reed-Francois said. “We have one of the best coaching jobs in the country. Our golf program is on the rise: Old Hawthorne is a phenomenal home facility and we are surrounded by a strong golf community in Columbia and Mid-Missouri. We will work quickly to find a coach who is the best fit to continue building our championship culture.”

Hankins joined the Tigers as co-head coach in May 2021. He moved into his role as head coach following Mark Leroux‘s retirement on July 1, 2023. Mizzou earned a bid to the NCAA Championship regional round and advanced to the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals in 2022 and 2023.
