ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The 2023 Sea Island Women’s Amateur will open action Tuesday with a trio of Duke women’s golfers seeing action at the Seaside Course in St. Simons Island, Ga. Rylie Heflin, Andie Smith and Katie Li will compete July 25-27 and are among 84 golfers that will play 54 holes of stroke play.
Smith will get things started off hole No. 10 at 7:50 a.m., followed by Heflin at 8:30 a.m., off No. 10 and Li at 9:10 a.m., on hole No. 1.
Last year, Smith turned in rounds of 71, 70 and 71 to finish tied for fifth overall with a 54-hole ledger of 212. The Sea Island Women’s Amateur is in its third year and continues to draw the nation’s best female amateur golfers.
