Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Two to Tee Off at U.S. Women’s Am Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A pair of Vanderbilt women’s golf student-athletes will be in the field when play begins Monday at the 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.

Both rising sophomore Lynn Lim and incoming freshman Sara Im qualified for the event with their performance at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee, last month. Im was medalist at the event, posting a 3-under-par 69 after carding six birdies while Lim recorded a pair of birdies to shoot a 71.

Both qualified for match play at the U.S. Girls’ Junior, held in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2022, with Im advancing to the semifinals as the 18th seed.

This year’s U.S. Women’s Amateur is set to take place at the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles. The field will include 156 competitors, with 18 holes of stroke play scheduled Monday and Tuesday before the field is cut to 64 individuals who qualify for match play. The finalists will compete in a 36-hole championship match on Sunday.

Golf Channel coverage will begin with the first round of match play on Wednesday and continue through the weekend.
