Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Vandy to See Similar Challenges in 2023-24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 2023-24 Vanderbilt women’s golf schedule announced Tuesday will feel familiar to the Commodores, with seven of eight regular-season tournaments from last season on the slate again.

“In all my years of coaching, this year’s schedule has to be the most impressive,” Vandy head coach Greg Allen said. “I mean, we are starting the fall season at Pebble Beach and ending at The Old Course. What an unbelievable opportunity for our young ladies. We are so grateful to be a part of both of these events. Plus, having the chance to compete on The Golf Channel is extra special.”

The Dore will begin the campaign at the Carmel Cup (Sept. 1-3), which will be hosted by Mississippi State at the Pebble Beach Golf Links and will wrap up the fall at the St Andrews Links Collegiate (Oct. 23-25). The inaugural event—which will also feature Georgetown, North Carolina and Notre Dame—will be played at the Jubilee and Old Courses at the St Andrews Links in Scotland, and will air live on GOLF Channel and Peacock in the U.S. and on Sky Sports in the U.K.

In between, Vandy will play host to the Mason Rudolph Challenge (Sept. 22-24) at the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course and will look to defend its title at Denver’s Ron Moore Intercollegiate (Oct. 6-8).

The Commodores also won the opening event of the spring season, the FAU Paradise Invitational (Feb. 5-6), last year. The remainder of the schedule features tournaments hosted by SEC and ACC schools beginning with Louisville’s Moon Golf Invitational (Feb. 18-20) in Melbourne, Florida. The final month of the regular season will include a pair of trips to the Palmetto State, first for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (March 4-6) hosted by South Carolina and then the Clemson Invitational (March 22-24).

Postseason play will begin with the SEC Championships (April 12-16) at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. Dates for six NCAA Regionals across the country are May 6-8, while Texas will play host to the NCAA Championships from May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.

“We believe that playing against the best will push us to be our best, we have a very competitive schedule against some really good teams,” said Allen. “The Mason Rudolph field is as strong as it’s been in several years, and the Darius Rucker is always the strongest field in college golf.

“I’m really excited about this year’s team and look forward to…
