TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Mic Potter announced the addition of the program’s second transfer this summer as Auburn-transfer Elina Sinz will join the women’s golf program for her final season of eligibility in 2023-24.
Sinz, a native of Katy, Texas, comes to Tuscaloosa with an impressive resumé across her previous three years. She joins Illinois transfer Mattie Frick, who signed with the Crimson Tide in July.

- A three-year letterwinner and two-year starter during her time on the plains
- Competed in 25 events across her previous three years at Auburn, including 20 starts over the past two seasons alone
- Over her three-year career she recorded three top-five, five top-10 and eight top-20 finishes while maintaining a scoring average of 74.15 and a +2.28 average vs. par
- Claimed her first collegiate medalist honor this past season by capturing the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (-5, 139)
- Earned SEC Player of the Week honors (3/29/23) as a result of her victory
- Was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2021
- Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors (2/17/21) after placing sixth overall at The Ally (-5, 211)
- Was a standout performer on the AJGA circuit, highlighted by a pair of victories in 2019
- Won 2019 AJGA Folds of Honors Junior Championship
- Won 2019 AJGA Junior Championship at the University Club (Baton Rouge, La.)
- Finished T33 in stroke play to make match play at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Amateur
- Also made the cut to match play at the 2019 USGA Girls’ Junior Championship
