The 25-year-old Norwegian shot a course-record 61, including 28 on the back nine, to win the 2023 BMW Championship.
For his efforts, Hovland took home $3.6M and vaulted all the way up to second place in the FedEx Cup Playoff standings.
The win also brought Hovland into third place on the 2023 PGA Tour money list. While he came from behind to defeat Scottie Scheffler on Sunday, it’s Scheffler who holds the top spot on the money list, with a record-breaking total of $21M this season.
