Women's Golf Wraps Up Day 1 of Boilermaker Classic


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind – Rutgers women’s golf wrapped up play on day one of the Boilermaker Classic on Monday evening. 

The Scarlet Knights sit in 9th place after the first two rounds of competition at the Kampen-Cosler Course in West Lafayette.

Rikke Nordvik carded two strong rounds to pace RU in the top 15. After an even-par 72 in round one, she fired a 1-over 73 sit in a tie for 15th heading into the final round. 

In her Rutgers debut, Cathi Graf rebounded after an opening-round 77 to shoot a 1-under 71 and move into a tie for 25th place. She rolled in five birdies on the day, including a second round with 15 pars and a pair of birdies. 

Leigha Devine came out strong with an even-par 72 in round one and sits in a tie for 40th place. Lucrezia Rossetin (t-45) and Lorena Rossettin (80th) round out the individual performances. 

The third and final round of the tournament is set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
