USC Men’s Golf 2023-24 Schedule Announced

LOS ANGELES—The USC men’s golf team, led by new head coach Mark Hankins, has announced its 2023-24 competition schedule. 
 
The Trojans begin the season with a trip to Sammamish, Wash. to compete in the Sahalee Players Championship on Sept. 9-10. The tournament, hosted by Washington, is held at the Sahalee Golf Club, which is ranked No. 145 in the country, and has a top-ranked tournament field. 
 
Later in the month, the Trojans visit Albuquerque, N.M. to play in the Tucker Invitational hosted by New Mexico on Sept. 25-26. Twenty collegiate teams will participate in the tournament held at New Mexico’s golf course. 
 
On Oct. 13-15, the Trojans will travel cross-country to the GC of Georgia Intercollegiate played at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Ga. and hosted by Georgia Tech. This tournament will have a top national field of 15 teams. USC competed in this event last season, and the Trojans finished 12th at 3-over 867 (290-291-286).
 
To close out the fall slate of action in 2023, USC travels to the Central Coast to compete in the Cal Poly Collegiate at the Preserve Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. and hosted by Cal Poly. The Trojans played in this tournament last season where Gavin Aurilia was USC’s top finisher and the Trojans placed eighth.  
 
USC opens the New Year with a trip to the desert from Jan. 14-15 for the Copper Cup at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Phoenix. The tournament will consist of four teams: Arizona, Arizona State UCLA and USC. There will be one match each day, consisting of 36 holes per day. The first round is a twosomes match, while the second round will consist of individual matches. 
 
The Trojans then take a quick trip to Westlake Village, Calif. for the Southwestern Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine, from Jan. 29-31. The tournament will be played at North Ranch Country Club.
 
February gets tropical as the Trojans visit Lihu’e, Hawaii from Feb. 15-17 for the John A. Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Hawaii. The competition field will consist of 18 teams. Last season, the Trojans combined for a 17-under 847 (294-274-279), taking ninth in this event.
 
A trip to the Bay Area is next as the Trojans compete in the Goodwin, hosted by Stanford. Twenty-seven teams will compete at Harding Park Golf Club in San…
