SAMMAMISH, Wash. – A full day of golf wrapped in the Pacific Northwest on Friday evening, as Stanford closed out 36 holes of play at the Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish, Wash. The Cardinal finished with a 22-over 598 after two rounds of play and will head into day two in 10th place.
 
Karl Vilips and Kush Arora lead the way for the Cardinal, both shooting 4-over after two rounds to sit tied for 31st after day one. Vilips logged a Stanford’s best round of the day with a 1-under 71 in round one, followed by a second-round 77. Aurora shot a 1-over 73 in his first pass through Sahalee Country Club, and a 3-over 75 in round two.
 
Barclay Brown scored both rounds for the Cardinal on the day with a 1-over 73 and 7-over 79 in his two rounds of play, as he sits tied for 50th in the individual standings.
 
After struggling in round one with an 11-over 83, Ethan Gao shaved ten strokes off his second pass through the course to finish round two one over par. Gao sits tied for 67th on the day.
 
Sean-Karl Dobson rounds out the Cardinal lineup tied for 68th after day one, sitting 13-over par after two rounds. Dean Greyserman, who is only competing on the individual side of the tournament this weekend, finished the day tied for 62nd at 11-over par through two rounds. 
 
Competition resumes at Sahalee Country Club tomorrow morning, as tee times are slated for 8:00am-9:39am for the final round play.
