USC Women's Opens 2023-24 Campaign At Leadership and Golf Invitational

LOS ANGELES: The USC women’s golf team, ranked No. 5 in the WGCA preseason poll, kicks off the 2023-24 season at the Leadership and Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash., Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18-19. 
 
COMPETITIVE SLATE: BYU, Cal Poly, Colorado, Fresno State, Georgia Southern, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Northern Arizona, Oregon St, San Diego St, Sacramento St, San Francisco, Santa Clara, *Seattle, Southern Alabama, UC Riverside, USC*Washington, Washington St.
 
*Host Teams
 
WHERE: Chambers Bay GC (Par 72, 6,022 yards).
 
WHEN: The two-day event will begin on Monday, Sept. 18, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start and featuring two consecutive rounds, while the final round will conclude on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Amari Avery
 
Avery enters her junior year as the No. 14 ranked amateur in the WAGR. Selected to the ANNIKA Award Watch list in the preseason.
 
Catherine Park
 
Park enters her sophomore year as the No. 85 ranked amateur in the WAGR. Starts her season after being awarded NCAA Individual Runner-up status last year.
 
Bailey Shoemaker
 
Shoemaker enters her freshman year as the No. 88 ranked amateur in the WAGR. Ranked as the 14th girls junior (Golfweek) ahead of her first year. 
 
Brianna Navarrosa
 
Navarrosa enters her senior year as the No. 152 ranked amateur in the WAGR. 
 
Christine Wang
 
Wang enters her senior year as the No. 348 ranked amateur in the WAGR.
