Women’s Golf Ready to Compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women’s golf team will compete in its second tournament of the 2023-24 season Friday morning at the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par 72, 6,491-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course in Franklin, Tenn.

The teams will compete in a five-count-four, stroke-play format, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT Friday morning.

The Lineup

  • The Crimson Tide’s lineup is highlighted by Taylor Kehoe, who led UA in its first tournament of the season finishing in a tie for fourth at the Boilermaker Classic
  • Senior Elina Sinz is coming off a top-15 finish in her first tournament with the Tide
  • Harriet Lockley is in the Alabama lineup for the second collegiate tournament of her career after posting 11 birdies at the Boilermaker Classic, which tied for second-best on the team
  • After competing as an individual at the Boilermaker Classic, Mattie Frick enters the UA lineup for the first time this season
  • Sarah Edwards is coming off a top-10 finish at the Boilermaker Classic, tying for seventh to record her eighth top-20 finish
  • The Tide received votes in the latest Mizzuno WGCA Coaches Top-25 Poll

Tournament Preview

  • The 54-hole stroke play tournament will take place Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 on the par 72, 6,491-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course in Franklin, Tenn.
  • In addition to Alabama, the 18-team field includes top-25 squads #4 LSU, #7 South Carolina, #9 Auburn, #12 Baylor, #14 Arizona State, #16 Ole Miss, and #17 Vanderbilt along with Arizona, UCLA, Charleston, Chattanooga, Denver, Florida Atlantic, Kentucky, Louisville, Middle Tennessee and North Carolina
