Women’s Golf Completes Day One of the Mason Rudolph Championship


FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Alabama women’s golf team finished the opening round of play at the Mason Rudolph Championship Friday, ending the day in a tie for 13th overall with a team score of 7-over par 295.

The Tide are led by Elina Sinz and Sarah Edwards in a tie for 34th place on the individual leaderboard, sitting at even-par 72.

The Highlights

  • Elina Sinz and Sarah Edwards each posted a team-high two birdies and sit in a tie for 34th
  • Taylor Kehoe sits in a tie for 59th place after carding a 3-over 75
  • After being inserted in the lineup for the first time this season, Mattie Frick sits in a tie for 70th place posting a 4-over 76
  • Harriet Lockley carded a 5-over 77 and sits in a tie for 77th place
  • Alabama led the field with 65 pars in the first round

The Field

  • The field includes seven top-25 teams
  • The second round will tee off Saturday morning
