GOLF, Ill. – First-year Jaclyn LaHa, playing in her third collegiate event, was UVA’s top finisher at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. LaHa shot even par 72 during the final round to place 37th at 1-under 215. She shot a career-best 5-under 67 during the second round.
No. 21 Virginia tied for 12th place at the tournament, shooting 3-over 867. The Cavaliers posted a final-round score of 2-over 290. UCLA claimed the team title at 32-under 832.
UVA’s Rebecca Skoler was 41st at 216 while Amanda Sambach placed 46th at 217. Sambach’s 69 was the team’s best final-round score.
Megan Propeck was 70th at 224 and first-year Kiera Bartholomew as 77th at 228.
Virginia will play its final fall event on Oct. 20-22 when the Cavaliers travel to the Stanford Intercollegiate.
