Women's Golf Set for Evie Odom Invitational


Back in action after its home tournament, the Missouri women’s golf team heads to Virginia for the Evie Odom Invitational.

TOURNAMENT INFO

Evie Odom Invitational is a three-day tournament, playing 18 holes each of the three days for a total of 54 holes with tee times each day. The Tigers open the tournament on Friday morning at 8:20 a.m. CT

Mizzou is one of 15 schools set to compete at Old Dominion at Princess Anne Country Club with the action beginning on Friday. Joining the Tigers on the course are Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Carolina, Furman, Indiana, James Madison, Kent State, North Florida, Notre Dame, Old Dominion, Penn State, Sacramento State and UCF.

The Princess Anne Country Club is a par-70 course that plays 5,824 yards long in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

LAST TIME OUT

The Tigers wrapped up their home tournament in second place with four Tigers in the top 10 after a late day-three rally. Sophomore Melaine Walker finished runner-up at five under par 211. Senior Emily Staples carded her career round on day two (67). Overall, four Tigers placed in the top 10 at the event with five finishing in the top 20.

WALKER NAMED SEC GOLFER OF THE WEEK

After her second-place finish at the Johnie Imes Invitational, Melanie Walker created Mizzou history as she became the first-ever student-athelte in program history to earn SEC Golfer of the Week accolades.
