Women’s Golf Wraps Up Evie Odom Invitational


The Missouri women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Evie Odom Invitational in Virginia, placing 13th as a team.

Junior Ffion Tynan led the Tigers on the final day of action, carding a 72 with a team-best three birdies on the day. Sophomore Melanie Walker led Mizzou overall for the second-straight tournament, carding a 220 over 54 holes (69-74-77).

Emily Staples and Fleur van Beek finished tied for second on the team with a 225, while Tynan was one stroke behind at 226. The highlight of the day was Staples sinking a hole-in-one on the 181-yard 15th hole.

Overall, Missouri placed 13th as a team with 890 strokes over the three days. UCF finished first at the event that included 11 top-100 schools, followed by Kent State and Chattanooga.

The Tigers returns to action on Monday, October 23, competing at The Southern in Savannah, Georgia.
