NEWBURGH, Ind. – Former Duke men’s golf standout Max Greyserman has earned his first PGA TOUR card, having finished ninth, with 1,170 points, on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List. The 2023 Korn Ferry season concluded on Sunday, Oct. 8 with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind., and Greyserman finished in a tie for 28th at 1-under, 287.
Greyserman turned professional in 2017, after playing four seasons for the Blue Devils. The Short Hills, N.J., native appeared in 36 total tournaments for the Blue Devils, played 99 rounds and earned his best collegiate finish during his junior season, when he tied for second place at the Princeton Invitational with a 7-under, 135. Greyserman earned another top-five finish as a junior, with a fifth-place, 2-under, 214, at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate and placed his name in the Duke program record book when he tied the program record at the time for a 36-hole score, by going 11-under through the first two rounds at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational.
Following his time in Durham, Greyserman qualified for the 2017 U.S. Open and first competed on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019. He played in 91 Korn Ferry Tour events across four seasons, including 24 this year. In 2023, Greyserman used runner-up finishes at The Ascendent and the Pinnacle Bank Championship, five top-10’s and 10 top-25’s to help secure the first PGA TOUR card of his professional career.
Since turning professional in 2017, Greyserman has earned $701,535, including $392,140 in 2023. Having secured his first PGA TOUR card, he is one of 18 rookies for the upcoming 2024 season.
The Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii, played Jan. 8-14, 2024, is the first Full-Field PGA TOUR event of the 2024 season and will mark the debut of the PGA TOUR’s new members, including Greyserman.
