ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Looking to build off a win in the Rod Myers Invitational, the Duke men’s golf team returns to action at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, held at the Golf Club of Georgia, on Oct. 13-15. The course is set to play to a par of 72 and a distance of 7,092 yards.
The 15-team field, hosted by Georgia Tech, features an A and B team for the Yellow Jackets playing alongside the Blue Devils, Charlotte, Clemson, East Tennessee State, Northwestern, Pepperdine, Southern California, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, Virginia, Wake Forest and Washington.
The tournament’s three rounds are played across three days, starting with Friday’s first round. The Blue Devils are slated to play alongside Pepperdine and Washington in the first two rounds, with third-round pairings determined by standings. Duke starts its tournament at 10:50 a.m., going off of No. 1.
Head coach Jamie Green starts a lineup that consists of Luke Sample, Ian Siebers, Jimmy Zheng, Bryan Kim and Kelly Chinn.
Sample paced the Blue Devils in the Rod Myers Invitational, securing a tie for third place at 5-under, 211, and currently leads the team in scoring average at 71.56 through nine rounds. Kim and Siebers also finished under-par, at 4-under and 1-under, respectively. Zheng and Chinn round out the Blue Devils’ lineup, which claimed the program’s 94th team title in late September with their 8-under, 856, at the Duke University Golf Club.
