Hall, Surratt Finish In Top 25; #5 Vols Place Ninth at Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate


ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Redshirt senior Jake Hall and sophomore Caleb Surratt finished inside the top 25 at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate while the fifth-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team placed ninth.

Hall was UT’s best finisher after shooting a 4-under 68 in round three to climb 16 spots up the leaderboard and finishing tied for 18th. The Knoxville native pieced together a bogey-free front nine with two birdies and a back nine with three consecutive birdies on holes 10, 11 and 12. He has now finished in the top 20 or higher in every tournament this season.

Surratt was Tennessee’s second highest finisher at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate after registering an even-par 72 in round three to finish at 2-under overall and tie for 22nd place. The sophomore shot par or better in each round.

As a team, Tennessee shot 1-under in Sunday’s round to finish the tournament at 2-under overall.

Evan Woosley-Reed finished the tournament strong with a 2-under 70 in the final round to shoot a 2-over total and tie for 38th place.

Despite shooting 2-under throughout the first two rounds, Bryce Lewis shot a 77 in round three to shoot a 54-hole total of 3-over and tie for 45th place.

Lance Simpson shot a 78 in round three to shoot an 8-over total and tie for 62nd place.

The Vols return to action at the Cypress Point Invitational in Monterey, California, on Oct. 31.
