Knoxville, Tenn. – Clemson women’s golf finished the first round at +4 and currently sits in seventh place after round one of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, held at the par-71 Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
UCF sits atop the leaderboard after the first round, carding a -13. Maryland is in second at -1, while Ole Miss sits third at even. There are three teams tied for fourth at +3 (Pepperdine, NC State, and Kansas State), followed by the Tigers and Louisville, tied for seventh at +4.
Individually, Annabelle Pancake finished the day at three-under-par to lead the Tigers and currently sits in a tie for fourth. Pancake finished the day with just one bogey and four birdies. Chloe Holder was +3 after the front nine, but played a bogey-free, five-under-par back nine, including an ace on hole 12. Holder’s hole-in-one is just the second in school history and first since Savannah Grewal recorded an ace at the Clemson Invitational in 2021. Holder finished the round at -2 and sits in a tie for 7th.
Isabella Rawl finished the day at +5 and sits in 46th, while Sydney Roberts is tied for 57th at +6. Melena Barrientos finished at +7, tied for 62nd and as an individual, Katherine Schuster finished the day at even 71, currently in a tie for 20th.
The Tigers return to the course on Monday for round two, teeing off beginning at 11:10 a.m.
