Men’s Golf’s Fall Season Comes to a Close at Quail Valley Collegiate

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Penn State men’s golf team’s fall season came to a close Monday as the Nittany Lions wrapped up the final round of the Quail Valley Collegiate at the Quail Valley Golf Club.
 
The Nittany Lions shot a 9-over, 297, in Monday’s third and final round to finish the 54-hole event in 14th place in the 16-team field at 4-over, 868.
 
Graduate student Jimmy Meyers led the way for Penn State, closing out the tournament with a 2-under, 70, in Monday’s final round to finish tied for seventh at 9-under, 207.
 
Graduate student Patrick Sheehan placed tied for 42nd at an even 216 following a 2-over, 74, in Monday’s final round.
 
Sophomore Billy Pabst Jr. finished tied for 62nd at 4-over, 220. Junior Jake Griffin placed tied for 78th at 12-over, 228, while freshman Zach Smith finished in 83rd place at 17-over, 233.
 
The Nittany Lions will resume competition in the spring. Penn State’s spring schedule will be announced in the coming months.
