Lady Vols Conclude Fall Season with Seventh-Place Finish at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Tennessee women’s golf shot a 1-over (289) on Sunday to place 7th of 18 teams at the Landfall Tradition with a 54-hole score of 6-under (858). Senior Vanessa Gilly and sophomore Manassanan Chotikabhukkana both finished tied for 19th place with a score of 2-under (214).

The Lady Vols’ score of 6-under was the lowest relative to par since last season’s Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah in October 2022, where they finished 12-under. Saturday’s round two score of 9-under was the sixth-lowest in program history, and the lowest since 2020.

Gilly leveraged six birdies on Saturday into a round-two score of 5-under (67), tied for the lowest of her career. She followed that with an even-par score on Sunday to record her fourth top-20 finish in five fall tournaments.

Chotikabhukkana recorded a par or better in all three rounds at the Country Club of Landfall and now has seven consecutive par or better rounds dating back to the Tar Heel Invitational in early October. Like Gilly, she also recorded her fourth top-20 finish of the fall season.

One stroke behind the Tennessee tandem was senior Kayla Holden. The Port St. Lucie, Florida, native carded two even-par rounds on Friday and Saturday, respectively, followed by a 1-under (71) on Sunday to finish tied for 29th. Martina Lopez-Lanchares placed 44th with a score of 2-over (218), highlighted by a 69 in round two. Sophomore Angela Arora shot a 2-over (74) on the final day and finished tied for 72nd.
