Women’s Golf 2024 Signing Day

Women's Golf 2024 Signing Day

Rutgers women’s golf and head coach Kari Williams announced the signing of two student-athletes in the class of 2024 this week. Joline Truong (Mississauga, Ontario) and Mami (Judy) Amano (Tokyo, Japan) have both signed their National Letters of Intent to join the Scarlet Knights next season.

“We are excited to announce Joline and Judy as our newest Scarlet Knights,” head coach Kari Williams said. “These two have an incredible work-ethic and love for the game of golf. Joline has a lengthy tournament resume with great competitive experience in events across Canada and the U.S. She is steady under pressure and we look forward to having her compete for Rutgers. Judy is an incredible athlete with huge potential for us. Her length on the course results in low scores and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to develop her game even further. I expect both Joline and Judy to fit right into our program and to make an immediate impact when they officially join us ‘On the Banks’ next fall.”

Truong is set to arrive “On the Banks” with an established record on the Canadian junior golf circuit, where she recently collected three top-3 finishes from May-July of 2023. Truong is a highly regarded athlete, ranked No. 40 in her class by Junior Golf Scoreboard and owning a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 1,287.

Amano joins the program out of Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida. She has taken her game to new levels in the last year, shooting up over 100 spots in Junior Golf Scoreboard’s class of 2024 rankings, where she now sits at No. 176. Amano is the No. 44 ranked international player in her class and recently won the AJGA qualifier at Memorial Junior in Ohio.
