Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Dores Sign Claire Henson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf head coach Greg Allen announced the signing of Claire Henson on Monday.

A Tennessee native, Henson hails from Henderson and is the No. 2 player in the state. She was the runner up at the 2022 Tennessee Girls Championship and was also a participant at the 2022 US Girls’ Junior Championship. Henson advanced to the round of 64 during match play at the US Girls’ Junior.

Henson will also play in the 2024 USGA Women’s Four-Ball Championship after winning the qualifier at Fayetteville Country Club with a 5-under 65 in October. She currently attends high school at Oak Hill Academy in Mississippi.

“We are extremely excited and fortunate to have Claire join our program,” Allen said. “She is a very bright, caring and kind person that works extremely hard in the classroom and a heck of an athlete. We fully expect her to make an immediate impact on our team and we cannot wait for her to get to campus next fall.”

Henson will join the Commodores for the 2024-25 season.
